Devlog #6 — Trying to Outrun Time and Outsmart Code
Hey everyone!
Another week has passed, and I’m here to share some progress.
First of all — thank you so much for downloading the game and adding it to your collections. It truly means a lot to me and keeps me going!
This week I’ve been trying to introduce new mechanics and rework parts that didn’t feel quite right. Honestly? It’s starting to feel like a full-on battle with Ren’Py… and so far, Ren’Py is winning. But I’m not giving up!
The ideas keep growing — for the plot, for the world, for small in-game moments. I really love what I’m building. I don’t always love how it turns out on the first try, but I’m learning, and I’m constantly trying to improve what’s already there while making new things even better.
Maybe that’s what being a visual novel dev really means — being your own first player and your harshest critic. :)
That said, several quests for Days 5 and 6 are already finished. I’m even considering going all the way to Day 7 for the next release — though that day includes a major story event, so it might need a standalone update. Still holding out hope that one day, the universe will throw in 10 bonus hours — just for developers like me.
For now — thank you again to everyone showing interest in the game.
Your support and feedback keep me going — thank you!!
