Devlog #9 - New Build v0.3!


Hello everyone!

Here comes the next small slice of the game — release 0.3!  

This time I focused more on mechanics, UI, and sprites. It feels like one of the hardest parts of development: once the systems are in place, adding new days and quests will go much faster.

What’s New

  • All character sprites are done (36 characters in total!). Some already have different outfits — casual and work. Of course, I’ll need to create even more variations later, but finishing this huge batch already feels like a milestone.
  • The heroine now has 9 outfits, available in the Wardrobe. In the future, clothing will affect relationships with other characters: some people will like your choice, while others might dislike it.

    

  •  Added the Mirror — an information screen where the heroine (and you as the player) can check her status: well-being, cleanliness, scent, current outfit, and more.


  • Added the First Aid Kit interface. For now, it’s mostly groundwork, but once the injury system arrives, you’ll definitely need it 😉

    


🔮 What’s Next (hopefully in release 0.4)

1. Actions for skill training across all locations (so far they only exist at home).

2. The injury system, the hospital, and a new hidden job connected to them — with important details for the investigation.

3. Expanding the tablet and laptop features, and finally opening the notebook (most of the functionality is already there, just not complete yet).

4. A fully playable first week with all quests. Sunday will be a big day with a fair and plenty of events.

5. A new minigame with a dog 🐕.

6. The end of the first week will bring one of the “bad” (or at least questionable) endings.


As you can see, the plans are big — and I’ll do my best to bring them to life.
